1. What kinds of training we will receive from P&G? After you join P&G, you will receive a comprehensive On-boarding Program, which includes Benefits and Office Administration Orientation, Functional Orientation, Store Check, Warehouse Visit and Plant Visit. Afterwards, you will go through well-developed functional training modules for your specific responsibilities as well as many comprehensive corporate training on top of on-the-job training provided by your immediate managers. 2. Will we have job rotation opportunities? Yes. It depends on both business and individual's needs. You may have opportunities to work on different product categories or markets for broadening purpose. 3. Will there be any opportunities to transfer to other departments once we are employed? Yes, there will be opportunities depending on both business and individual's needs. However, we do not encourage you to consider this when you first join the department. You should clearly understand your career interests when you apply. 4. Are there any opportunities to transfer out of the Hong Kong subsidiary? Yes. There will definitely be opportunities! P&G is a global company. We see overseas assignment as an important strategy to develop our key top performing managers in managing our global businesses. 5. Have your company got very high turnover rate? If not, where have the experienced managers gone since all managers are so young? Our company's turnover rate is within the normal range in the market. It is not high due to our promotion from within strategy. Owing to our relatively short history in Hong Kong (21 years), our local managers are relatively young compared to other companies. We can also maintain the youthfulness of our organization since experienced managers are given opportunities to work overseas. 6. It is well known that life in P&G is very hard. You tend to work for long hours. Is it true? We do not encourage working for long hours but it occasionally happens when there is business need, like a new product launch, an important business meeting or during budget season, etc. We aim at building people with superior job satisfaction, including achieving balance of life via many corporate programs, e.g. Recreation Club, Fittest Centre Program, etc. 7. Is there any difference in job nature in different markets? If yes, will it impact my learning if I join any one of the markets at the beginning? P&G is an international company instead of a local company. We focus on building employees with All-round Skills by robust assignment planning in their long term career instead of just focusing on one specific job in one market or business unit. 8. Will I have any opportunity to work with people from other functions? Certainly, we have lots of cross-functional team. We believe we could leverage the mastery of every function when we work together. Take recruitment as an example, we have team members from HR as well as CBD, CMK, F&A, IT, MKT, PS, etc. |
